The Pepsi Bottling Group’s sales data mart environment was due for a hardware upgrade, and the Data Services Group wanted to transform it into an enterprise data warehouse. IBM was challenged to deliver an integrated data warehouse solution.

Company Overview

The Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) is the seller and distributor of Pepsi-Cola beverages, a 100-year-old, globally recognized consumer brand. PBG became a publicly traded company in March 1999 through one of the largest initial public offerings in the history of the New York Stock Exchange.
