Company Overview

Launched in 1979 from a garage in Marina del Rey, CA, the goals of Teradata's four founders were to 1) develop a database machine; 2) base it on Intel microprocessors; and 3) differentiate themselves by creating parallel relational database software. These were all high risk bets in 1979.
